Ready for Kindergarten
Kody all ready to head off to Kindergarten. He was pretty proud of his Transformer backpack and hotwheels lunch box. He was also excited that red (his favorite) was one of the colors of his school uniform. I can't believe that he is all grown up and off to kindergarten. So they let us parents stay until after roll call and then his teacher told the kids to turn around and wave good-bye to their parents. Kody turned around with a big grin on his face and said bye mom and dad. I just about lost it, but knew that I couldn't cry in front of Kody so I held it together until we were in the hall. I knew it was going to be hard, but there is no describing what it is like to leave your child (especially #1) at school for the first time, but I was brave and only got weepy a few times that 1st day. Thank goodness for Garrett!! Kody was so precious when we went to pick him up. He came walking down the hall with a huge grin on his face and I asked him how his day was and he said "It was AWESOME!!" He talks our ears off about everything that he learns each day. So hopefully we have a good start for the year. It is hard to get used to him being gone all day and Jacob gets so excited when we pick him up I'm sure he really misses him. But we are settling into a schedule and getting used to this new adventure in our lives.

So fun!! I loved the first day this year!! Maybe it's just that I'm down by 2!! So glad that he oves it, that akes it so much easier!
All of the firsts are so hard...on mom! The kids love them, and can't wait for each milestone. Forget about the unseen tears that fill a mother's eyes every time her children learn, grow, and change. Somehow, it just doesn't seem right. But definitely all worth it!
I can't believe that he's that old. Then again, I can't believe that Anne is old enough to go to school. Remember when they were just little. I love your blog!
