General Conference & Snow Already!

What a wonderful weekend we had. General Conference was amazing and it was so wonderful to hear the messages that were shared. I feel truly blessed to belong to a church that has a living prophet today that speaks to us, teaches us, and leads us. It is nice to have spiritual guidance and reassurance that we can make it through anything life brings our way with the help of our Heavenly Father. I made a conference packet for Kody that had activities to entertain him. He really got into listening to the speakers and had fun trying to remember the names of everyone. He got a kick out of drawing the ties of all of the speakers. He got so excited when he saw President Monson and sat so intently and listened to what he had to say. I love it!

Shortly after conference was over we looked out the window and there were huge white snow flakes falling to the ground. Hello, it is only Oct. 5th. Way too soon for snow, but it was so beautiful. Jacob was fascinated with the snow and tried grabbing the snow flakes with his hand. Too cute! Kody can't wait for the snow to get deeper, so he can go snowboarding. So winter has arrived ready or not. Now I just have to dig out all the winter gear. The joys of cold weather.

I'm so not ready for snow. Enjoy! I'm hoping our snow is still aways off. But at the same time I desperately miss AK. We had originally planned to come up for Christmas this year (the twins are getting baptized), but instead we will be in UT with Bry's family.

You had to see this coming, right?? Sounds fun, but I'm glad we are still enjoying our indian summer.

Actually we did not expect to have snow so early, so it was kind of a shocker. But since my last post we have had more storms and last night we got about 2-3 inches. Ready or not it is here and it is a white winter wonderland outside.

I can't believe you are already in winter! Crazy! I hope you have plenty of snow stuff. I'm actually a little jealous, our winters are so pathetic. It gets cold enough, but there's no snow. Last year I got sleds and everything, and the most we got was maybe three inches.

Stay warm!
