I was playing with my boys this afternoon and I just love watching both of them interact with each other despite the age difference. Their personalities are so different, but yet they are so much alike. They are both such a joy to our family. As I was watching them I was remembering a couple memorable moments that we have had lately and realized that I hadn't written them down yet. They are precious moments that truly touched my heart.
Kody's Prayer: Kody had a friend over to spend the night and I was having a hard time getting them to settle down and go to sleep. I was using the baby monitor to spy on them and after numerous trips to tell them to go to sleep they finally got quiet. Then Kody just started talking and talking. I couldn't hear what he was saying, so I went down to tell him to go to sleep. His friend was already asleep and I asked him who we was talking to. He said "Mom, I couldn't go to sleep without saying my prayers."
Jacob's "J": The other day I was feeding Jacob and he stopped eating and looked up and said "J, J" (the sound the J makes) and was pointing. I looked to where he was pointing and he was pointing to a picture of Jesus. He got so excited and kept saying "J". I teared up and said yes, that is Jesus and he love you so much. Since then he has really been noticing the pictures that we have of Christ around the house and just keeps pointing.
It is moments like these that put things in perspective and make me realize what life is really all about. It is such a testimony builder that as young as Jacob is he knows his Savior. He remembers where he came from and who is waiting for him there. How many times have I gone to bed without saying my prayers! I wonder why at times I overlook the simple things in life that give us the most help and comfort. My little ones are definitely teaching me and I am so grateful for them. It is so wonderful to be a mom.

That's so precious. I'm so glad that you posted it. I love how children really remind us that we are children of God! You're a great Mother!
Our children will always teach us I think. That is so sweet!
