Happy Easter!

Happy Easter! We had a very fun day together as a family. The boys woke us up nice and early. Kody was a bit excited to see if the Easter Bunny had really come. Our baskets were filled with yummy candy and fun treasures. Hunting eggs was so much fun. Jacob really got into it and got so excited when he found an egg. But after he found it he really didn't know what to do with it, so he either ate it or threw it. It was too cute. Kody was such a good egg hunter and found them all. He was very surprised to find that the Easter Bunny hid a few eggs with dollars and other fun treasures. We found the eggs just in time cause about an hour after we came in it started snowing.Oh yes! Winter is still haunting us! So we had a white Easter!!!

It is so important to remember the true meaning of Easter and the sacrifice that our Savior made for us. We made resurrection rolls (very fun activity and a tradition in our family). I asked Kody what Easter was all about. He told told us the whole story of our Savior. I asked him why Jesus would do this for us and he said "Mom, he loves us." A simple reminder from my 5 year old. Our Savior does love us and he was willing to pay the ultimate price for us, so we can be forgiven for our sins and return to live with our Heavenly Father. How lucky we are to have someone that loves us that much! What a great reminder!
