Reverence Tent
General Conference was amazing! And my boys actually were good and I actually got to listen without too many interruptions. I came across a story in the friend about the "Reverence Tent". It was about a family who puts a tent up by the T.V. every conference weekend like they did when families went to listen to King Benjamin speak. So I thought I would give it a try. I sent up the tent and set out a tub with General Conference packets that I found online, crayons and books. It was amazing. They boys thought it was the coolest! Kody was actually very interested in conference and kept himself entertained. When the choir was singing he read his scriptures. How precious is that?! Jacob gave up before the second session and took a nap. So our reverence tent was a success and will more than likely become a tradition. It was a great weekend and I was so in need of some spiritual nourishment. I love conference and the reminder that it gives me to reevaluate my life and goals. I love the gospel!

Very cool idea! I may borrow it next time!!!
What a great idea! I'm stealing it for next April. Just before Pres. Monson spoke in the morning session Adorable announced "I'm tired of this show. Mommy, turn it off." Sorry kiddo!
How fun! Bet the boys loved that.
That such a cute idea! I really like it, I'll have to try that. At our house we watched conference with ASL. my kids loved looking for signs they knew, like love.
I love that idea. I don't think I heard a thing this last conference. Sucks too, everyone commented on how great it was. I guess I'll have to wait til it comes out in print...
