Guns n' Hoses Hockey Game

We had a blast this weekend at the annual Guns n' Hoses hockey game. It is a charitable hockey game that is usually Policemen vs. Firemen, but this year it was Team Alaska (made up of Anchorage Police & Firemen) vs the New York City Fire Dept. It was an awesome game even though we lost 9-8. During one of the breaks the police dept. put on a demonstration. They created a scenario about 2 guys breaking out of jail and heading to the arena. Then all of the sudden you hear sirens and there is the bad guys car being chased by a couple of police cars out onto the ice. Then all of the sudden you see the SWAT team repelling from the rafters! The bad guys still won't give up so they call in some back up and turn a couple of K-9's loose on the guys. It was really fun. The boys were in 7th heaven and loving every minute of it. Kody bought a shirt to help support the Dollars for Dogs program and he felt pretty special to be helping the police dogs. Aside from the police cars Jacob's favorite part was the Zamboni. It was a super fun family night.
