We decided to get out and enjoy some of Fur Rondy this year and it was so much fun. We went and saw the amazing snow sculptures. Kody was fascinated that someone could make such cool sculptures out of snow. A first for this year was watching the running with the reindeer. Hilarious!!! It is Alaska's version of the running of the bulls! People dress up in crazy silly costumes and run down the street with reindeer chasing them. Let me tell you, those reindeer are fast. The boys thought it was pretty cool.

But the highlight is always the start of the Iditarod. Instead of being a part of the craziness downtown we like to watch along the trail. It is so fun to have the teams running right if front of you. Makes you feel like you are a big part of it. Jacob was in awe of the "goggies" and as they ran past he would yell "go, go, go." It was too cute! We are anxious to follow the teams as they race towards Nome. Kody picked a favorite team to follow on the race, but it keeps changing. I think he is just going to cheer for whoever is in the lead at the time. Fun times!
