Kody lost his 1st top front tooth a couple of weeks ago at church. Finally! He wiggled and pushed that tooth trying to get it out for weeks. Then at church I was picking Jacob up just as Kody leaned into give me a hug, Jacobs head hit Kody's chin and his bottom teeth hit his top teeth. His tooth was just barely hanging on, so mommy just pulled it. He was so excited to get a dollar from the tooth fairy! And then he come home from school 3 days later and his other front tooth had come out. Personally I think he really wanted the tooth fairy to come again, so he wiggled it out. So he has no front teeth and he is so cute! He has a little lisp and sounds so cute when he talks.
So this toothless boy has kept me on my toes this week. On Thursday I get a call from the school counselor telling me that she had Kody in her office because he had hit another little boy. Oh great here we go! So the story was that this other little boy and Kody had been having a discussion about Alaska. The other boy said that Alaska was not part of the United Stated, Kody kept telling him that it was. Well the other boy said it wasn't because it wasn't connected to the US, Kody kept explaining why it was. Well this kept going and Kody was holding his ground, the other boy just kept egging him on and Kody hit him. Come to find out this boy had also been teasing Kody about being from Alaska and that he wasn't good at basketball.
So after some lengthy conversations with the counselor, teacher and his principal we got the situation resolved and Kody received a punishment. Boys!!! It was so hard to be mad at him for holding his ground on something that was true, but hitting is not acceptable ever. He is so passionate about Alaska, must be that it is in his blood!!! I just hope and pray that he has learned his lesson.

My Joe used to get in trouble like that and every time it was for defending an underdog. Teasing is so hard on kids.
Our tooth fairy is a slacker. Never has cash.
Yeah, Kody! About the teeth. NOt the hitting. :-)
Lincoln is just starting to GET his teeth in.
Love you guys!
Poor kid.. but good for him, also! I don't know if I could have stood my ground!
Whoowee Nel, you got your work cut out for you with your boys...I know, I know, I do too :) I'm not anxious for that though. The toothless picture made me smile for sure though.
