Can't Forget

Before I forget there are a couple things that I just have to write down and I figured they were too cute that I just had to share.

For Family Home Evening last week we made a poster with thankful trees. Every day we are writing something that we are thankful for on a leaf and gluing it to the poster. We did this last year and just loved it, so it has become our new Thanksgiving tradition. We watched the animated scripture story of the Good Samaritan on Sunday and Jacob just loved it. We talked about how we can serve and help others like the Good Samaritan did. Jacob talked about that movie all week. One night we were doing our leaves and I asked Jacob what he was thankful for. He ran over, got the DVD cover and pointed and said "Jesus and the nice guys!" Too cute! It is so fun to see my boys learn from scripture stories even at a young age like this.

Not to proud of this next one, but have to write it down to remember it. Kody lost a tooth on Monday. This is the 3rd tooth he has lost in about 2 weeks. He is losing them so fast that it is hard to keep track. He put his tooth under his pillow and went to bed. Well the silly tooth fairy forgot to come. No problem, it was raining so we came to the conclusion that she couldn't fly with wet wings and that she would come tonight. Darn that tooth fairy she forgot again. Kody was devastated and needless to say I felt like the worst tooth fairy in the world. Seriously where is my head?! I told Kody that she had to have a good reason for not coming after all she is a busy lady. So come to find out she was at her yearly meeting with Santa, the Easter Bunny and the Sandman. She came the 3rd night, left a note explaining what happened and even brought an extra dollar. Kody was happy and all is well with the tooth fairy.

Got to love moments like these!!! Isn't being a mom great :o)
