Big News

So the big news of the week is that we found a house, made an offer and it was accepted!!! We are so excited! It has been a long time coming and we are so ready to have a house of our own & get out of this apartment. And we will have land!!!

So the longer story goes like this. We have been searching off and on for the past year for a house. We would find one that we liked, go look at it, and then find out there was a contract put on the house the night before. Seriously I can't tell you how many times this happened. It was getting very discouraging, but we knew that the right house was out there. We had driven by this house(Sonny Mtn.), but the price was a little high, so we kind of ignored it for the time being. Well we had arranged to go look at some homes with our realtor last Thursday and the night before we went we noticed that they had lowered the price on Sonny Mtn., so we went to look at it and fell in love.

We decided to make an offer, but found out that about an hour before another offer had been submitted. Well we went ahead and made an offer at full price with the hopes that if this was the house for us then it would all work out. Well we had to wait all weekend for an answer and Monday morning our realtor called to tell us that we didn't get the house. The offers were basically identical, but because they beat us time wise they got it. I was so sad, but kept telling my house that it must just not have been meant to be. Well about 3 hours later our realtor called back with the news that the other people's financing fell through and the house was ours!!! We were estatic!!! That just doesn't happen especially that fast.

So I guess it was meant to be ours. It is 1700 sq. ft. home on 2 acres with lots of trees. It is on a dirt road with only 4 other homes, so nice and private and we can just let the boys run. We hopefully be closing May 23rd and now we just have to say lots of prayers that everything else will go smooth! I will keep you posted :o)
